“Nebraska”, is one of those films that halfway through watching it, you ask your self “Why aren’t indis made like this any more? Hell, why aren’t more movies made like this anymore”. The film is shot in black and white to represent the bleakness of small town America, but not the film, which is anything but. With long takes of silence, it may appear the film is slow, but the beauty of the imagery only brings out more of the compiling story, and the emotion that accompanies it. Making the landscape a character of its own. Great acting, brilliant writing, brought together with outstanding directing. And for photographers a must see.
